Introduction Post

Hey there!
I started this blog as a project for my Abnormal Psychology class at Mohave Community College in Lake Havasu City.

Isn't it pretty?

The project assignment was to blog about a topic we find interesting that is easy for us to talk about, and direct our blog in a way that is supposed to help others. When I did this blog assignment last year in Psych 101, my choice of blog topic did not turn out so well. So this time, I took a more logical approach and decided to blog about topics relevant to my future.

As an aspiring sex/gender therapist, I have taken an interest in learning anything I can about gender and sexuality. The problem is that these resources are still pretty scarce. The goal I have set for my blog is for it to be a place where those who are looking for resources in those areas can go to find relevant information and links to other sources with correct knowledge.

Blog topics I plan to cover include (but aren't limited to!):

Gender Identities
Sexuality
Gender as a Spectrum
Same Sex Marriage
Coming Out
Dysphoria
Awesome Trans Resources!
Transgender Representation
Femininity/Masculinity
Gender Inequality
The Concept of Virginity
Sexual Health
Feminism
Consent
...etc.

I am also open to suggestions for future topics!
